Turkey Hunting Success!!

Garland called up this turkey with on his new illuminator turkey call and shot him at 7:20 am the very first morning of the youth turkey hunt!


The gobbler was a two year old bird weighing 23 lbs. with a 10 inch double beard and 13/16 inch spurs. Congratulations Garland!

In our early evening walk, we saw some surfers.

This fella almost made it up on a wave . . .

. . . but then he was down!

We saw this nice group of deer walking back to the dinner spot.

I was able to photograph the sunset tonight. I do so enjoy the ocean!

Meetings have Started!

Pam, Trinlie and I (the early people!) took a morning walk on the beach.

We don’t have internet access in our meeting room like last year, so I will need to walk to the group area to do my internet work. I’ll try and upload the best of the photos as soon as I can, however!

In Monterey Again!

The MANA Board is meeting again near Monterey, California, and I’m lucky enough to get to travel here to take minutes of their meeting. Due to scheduling, I traveled a day early and got to spend some great time with Maggie, Abby, Pam, and Linda today.


Here’s Monterey Bay through the houses.

Pam and I, being early morning people who traveled from the east,
got up early and took a lovely 2 hour walk through Seaside.
