Random Thought

When you go ahead and do what must be done, you don't have to waste a lot of time worrying about it and wondering how you will ever find the time.

More Kaleidoscope Photos

Here’s some more

Kaleidoscope photos!

Kaleidoscoped Photos

On Friday Jennifer and I walked around downtown Springfield and visited various stores and galleries. One of the galleries had some photos that I had to look carefully at to figure out just what they were! The lady working there described how they were made, and I thought, hey, I can do that! So, last night I picked out some photos and made my own! You just put the original in the upper left, paste another in the upper right and flip it horizontally, copy those two onto the bottom and then flip them both vertically and you have it! Click on a photo to see it larger and get better detail.

This one is my favorite!

Here’s a shot of fire and tall warm season grasses burning.

Canoe/Fishing Trip on Memorial Day Weekend

We had a beautiful sunrise on our canoe/fishing day! Richard caught the only fish, a little bluegill, but we had a great time canoeing on the Little Sac River which runs close to our house.

We could tell it was going to rain, so we tied the boat up and sat it out in our rain gear. Luckily it was nice and warm.

Richard clucked and called to the turkeys across the river and asked me to “shoot him” since he couldn’t shoot him with a gun!

Good Visit

Richard and I went to Springfield to decorate Paul and Richard’s Mom and Dad’s graves and also have dinner with Paul and Camille.

Great Walk on the Trail

Richard, Hank, and I enjoyed a 5 mile walk on the Frisco Trail this morning. Click here for a map. We started at the Wishart Trailhead which is just a couple of miles from our house and walked to and from about the 26.5 mile marker.

Notice the fly heading toward the spiderwort?

Three Points to Live by

Today on the Neil Boortz show, he mentioned his three main points to live by:

  1. Proclaim your rarity; you are unique.
  2. Use your power of choice wisely.
  3. Go the extra mile regardless of what you are doing.

Fishing after the Flood

Richard and I went fishing at Bennett Spring today and saw some of the flooding damage. Richard caught lots of fish; I caught one fish!

Lovely Flowers

My Girls each have given me wonderful flowers. Jennifer and Donny gave me carnations and lilies for my birthday which are still beautiful. Then Jessica and Andy gave me lovely roses for Mother’s Day! What great kids I have!

Happy Mother’s Day!
