The meaning of things lies not in the things themselves but in our attitude towards them.

Laundry Photography

I guess it’s a sign you are too focused on photography when you hang your laundry in a special order to get the best colors for a photo! How’d I do?

Outakes!

Here’s some of the “outtake” photos with the best expressions from Ann’s marketing school!

[From Ann's weblog: "As is tradition, I will post the most horrid, unflattering picture just as soon as Tina gets everything uploaded. Those of you who have been to a school know that I tend to be, ahem, SLIGHTLY facially expressive, thus making for some killer blackmail pictures. The best way to combat this is to EMBRACE it."]

The best is this fella’s look, “what will she do next?”

“Have you . . . , huh, HUH?”

Another Great Marketing School

Richard, Garland and I enjoyed a Bud Williams Marketing School taught by Ann Barnhardt (left) this Friday and Saturday! And, we also enjoyed the excellent Indian feed-out last night!

Here’s the good shots I got of Ann speaking at the school!

Glorious Sunrise!

The sunrise this morning was glorious!

Nasty Early Morning Storm

Our morning alarm is the clock radio tuned to our local country music/storm alert radio station. It came on, we laid there for a  minute, until the tornado tones they run every minute came on letting us know there was a tornado warning somewhere in the listening area. We quickly got up and looked outside to see BLACK to the north and west heading our way. We listened to the radio describing the location and direction of the storm, and it was headed pretty much for us. I called Jessica  to let them know they were even more in the path than we were. As I was talking with her on the phone, the tornado sirens in Bolivar went off! Richard and I headed to the barn, which is our “tornado shelter.” I took this video with my still camera which also has the audio from the radio station calling the warnings.

It turned out we didn’t have any more damage than some downed limbs. However, a tornado did tear up a lot of trees out near our old farm! What a way to wake up in the morning!

Youth Fundraiser at Church

The church youth served a meal to the church members, sang songs, played the piano, and provided a lovely atmosphere for fundraising. They raised over $400 for a local back-to-school backpack program for low income kid.
