There's no need to wait for conditions to be perfect. You can fashion a perfectly wonderful moment out of whatever conditions you come upon.

We are Back Home

We drove up to the house at 10 pm last night! We had a glorious vacation with wonderful experiences and memories of the several different things we did this past two weeks.

It will take me a while to get the photos rounded up and posted!

Photos at Big Sur

Just some photos of us together on our drive down the Big Sur coast on the first day of our vacation!

See the waterfall just behind my shoulder? We took more photos of it later.

Enjoying the Ocean!

We spent about 4 hours on the beach this afternoon just sitting and experiencing it all!

Some Photos of Me!

I was wearing the great shirt Jessica gave me (everyone complimented me on how great I looked!) and I asked Richard to take some photos of me on the beach!

Sunset!

Sunset from our room!

Self Portraits

I’ve had it in my head that I want to, somehow, get a nice photo of myself. So, I played around with finding places to set the camera where I could have something to focus on (the post next to me) while I set it on the 10 second delay. I rather like the photo to the left!
Here’s the view from our room! We change rooms tomorrow, so we might not have this glorious view then!

Sorting the MANA 2009 Boxes!

Here’s Maggie with just some of the many boxes at her house! We sorted them all into their appropriate groups!

In Sunny California!!

Here’s my latest self portrait as I sat at the curb at the San Jose airport waiting for the shuttle to take me to Monterey! I’m here at my buddy Maggie’s house in Seaside enjoying perfect weather as I work on some MANA stuff getting ready for the board meetings which start Saturday and the conference which starts Thursday!

Richard flew out just a little later in the day to Sacramento to play with his friend there until Thursday when he will drive down for the MANA conference!

Driving in the Rain!

Today we drove 8.5 hours in mostly torrential rain from home to Elizabethtown, KY to speak on stockmanship tomorrow. If you look really carefully in the photo on the left, you can see the Arch in St. Louis. It’s mostly obscured by the rain, however! Richard is a great driver!

Sunrise on the Barn

I know there is a great sunrise photo in this barn window. And someday I’ll shoot it!
