Thanksgiving Photo Collage

I collaged some of the best photos!

Thanksgiving on the Farm!

The 2009 Thanksgiving group!

Click here for photos from the family photo shoot we had in the wonderful sunshine this afternoon!

Here’s most of the feast!

Father Son Photo Op

Today was a nice day (if a little coolish!), so I took some photos of Garland and Richard!
And here’s a good shot I got of Richard!

Happy Thanksgiving!

November Sunrise

The sunrise this morning was glorious!
I went over to the barn to see if the sunrise reflection would be a good photo. It wasn’t, but I shot this good reflection of me.

I guess there is some psychological reason for my fascination with reflection photos lately . . . . but I’ll just go with learning new photo skills!

Richard got his Deer!

Richard shot this nice doe right here on the farm! Who needs to travel a long ways to find deer to put in the freezer? She will be good eating and will contribute to the March Summer Sausage!!

Both Bolivar and Harrisonville Lost

I went to the Bolivar/Webb City quarterfinal football game this afternoon. It was a pretty good game, but Bolivar lost 20-42. I didn’t really feel that they were horribly outmatched, but they just couldn’t get their offense working good enough to compete.

Harrisonville lost with an even larger margin of 41-0 against Kearney.

The semi-final game between Webb City and Kearney next weekend should be a barn-burner!

Garland Shot a Deer!

Garland shot this nice little doe today! This is his second deer ever. Congratulations Garland!

Nature + Camera + Photoshop

The sunrise was glorious this morning! Not only did I photograph it,
I also wrote an original Haiku!

The calves are grazing the yard again, and I just happened to see them all walking back to the house. The sun was shining, it was a glorious day, and I thought I might get a good photo. Then I took the best photo, did some photoshop “magic,” and added a saying.

Bolivar and Harrisonville both Won Last Night!

Bolivar and Harrisonville are closing in on each other in the Missouri High School Football playoffs! Bolivar faces Champion Webb City on Saturday. Webb City is undefeated in over 20 games, but they lost two of their best running backs and another player a week and a half ago (suspension for some sort of activity which was a no-no!). We have our fingers crossed this will give Bolivar (who is having a great year at 11-1) the edge they need to be able to beat them!!

Harrisonville goes up against Kearney on Saturday, and that should be a great game also.

If (and it’s a very big “if!”) Bolivar beats Webb City and Harrisonville beats Kearney (more likely to happen), Bolivar will face Harrisonville at Harrisonville in the semi-finals! We might have to drive up for that one if it happens; though it will be hard to know who to cheer for since Garland’s no longer playing for Harrisonville!
