“WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!” The irate customer calling the newspaper office, loudly demanded to know where her Sunday edition was.
“Madam”, said the newspaper employee, “today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on SUNDAY”.
There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter, “Well, shit, so that’s why no one was at church.”

Facebook is going through a “retro” phase where folks are posting profile photos of themselves when they were younger. I didn’t want to sort through all my boxes in the barn and then scan some, but I remembered Mom had sent me scans from the family photo album! So, here are some older photos of me! Jessica had wanted some older photos of her, so I dug out these old Christmas card photos for her and thought I’d re-post them here again too! It’s fun to see the old photos of the kids, but still tugs at my heart to see the photos of John from happier times.

Are you sick of making the same resolutions year after year that you never keep? Why not resolve to do something you can actually accomplish? Here are some resolutions that you can use as a starting point:
- Gain weight. Put on at least 20 pounds.
- Stop exercising. It’s a waste of time.
- Watch more TV. I’ve been missing some good stuff.
- Procrastinate more.
- Create some more loose ends.
- Wait around for an opportunity.
- Take up a new habit – maybe smoking!
