We left Winchester Bay and headed down to Coos Bay for our last bit of the ocean on this trip.

I took three photos of a heron flying across this mirror-smooth inlet and combined them to show the lovely view.

The first bridge at Coos Bay.

Following a log truck over the bridge.

The view from our lunch restaurant in Coos Bay. We ate out on the patio, and it was perfect!

Cape Arago Lighthouse

Simpson Reef Marine Mammal Refuge where we saw a lot of sea lions.

This logging museum in Myrtle Point was closed, but the outside was worth a photo!

Not sure what I was taking a photo of, but it also turned out to be a self-portrait.

Richard and I didn't usually stop at "rest areas" but we did stop at this one somewhere between Roseburg and Talent on I-5. I read this sign and realized it told the same story as that told in a letter from my fourth great-grandmother to her relatives back in Missouri. Click here for the text of the letters.
