We had a very quiet Thanksgiving here. Jessica and Andy wanted to have their first Thanksgiving together alone; Justin and Calie are having Thanksgiving in Chicago with Calie’s parents; Jennifer and John had a party with other “single” friends; and so Richard and I had a nice, quiet Thanksgiving here on the farm. We cooked the typical Thanksgiving fare: turkey, cranberries, sweet potatoes, and raised rolls. Then at 3 pm Richard headed off for another weekend of pheasant hunting in Iowa, and I’m working away and watching old movies!
Here’s a good ‘thought for the day’: “The very best way to be thankful for the good things you have is to make use of them. The essence of each blessing is the positive possibility it holds.”
