Another Great Fishing Day!

Richard’s work had their quarterly regional meeting in Bennett Spring (where we always fish) and so we go there early to get some fishing in! We got our hooks into the water about 7:45, and Richard caught (and then some) and cleaned his 4 and had time to get to his meeting starting at 9:30! I got to fish longer since I wasn’t an employee! I strung 2 fish just so I’d have something to eat, I caught and released 6 more average fish, and then I caught the 14 inch fish below and strung him up! I then caught the 13 inch (but he weighed more than the 14 inch one!) fish and decided I needed to string him up to bring home too! That meant I was done fishing for the day (you can only fish if you have less than 4 on your stringer).

I didn’t have a measuring device and no one to take my photo, so I laid them out on the pick-up tailgate to photograph before I cleaned them.

After the meeting, Richard and I took a walk alongside the east side of the stream from the Whistle Bridge (where we fish) to the dam.
Here’s the dam through the bridge. Richard retrieved a bobber and hook from a limb. You can only fish from the other side, and they often get caught up in the trees on this side.

Here’s where Richard and I caught our fish. You can see them lining up eating on whatever comes their way.
