We left Calie and Justin’s at 6 am driving straight into downtown Chicago. The hope/plan was that we could get into the center of town (the best way the interstates go) and headed out of town before the main rush hour hit! We were successful! And, in the process, got to view a pretty nice sunrise over the downtown Chicago skyline. I wanted to stop and take better photos, but Jessica (the driver) gave me that look that suggested she probably wouldn’t be stopping for me!

Then, we got a great view of the Arch heading back through St. Louis.

We made it back home just after 5 pm! Whew, wonderful trip, but good to be home.
