I’ve been struggling to put the video Mom and Dad sell on stockmanship onto DVD since mid-January. I am finally down to burning DVD 3 of 3, and my fingers and toes are crossed. I’ve found that the 300 GB external hard drive I use for all the video stuff just gets too hot when it’s doing any of this "heavy duty" video stuff. When it’s cool in the house and we have the wood stove burning, I have to set the computer and hard drive up on the washing machine on the back porch where it’s cool! Today, however, since it’s warm and we don’t need the wood stove, I have the hard drive set up on the stove with a fan on it to cool it. So far, so good! Then, because you can’t do anything else at the same time on the computer doing DVD stuff, I have my older laptop set up to work on my daily stuff. Now, if this final DVD will just work . . . .
