This scrappy plant is growing in the back porch steps. I thought it had earned some recognition!
 I tried to get a better shot of this lovely butterfly, but he was skittish. This was on telephoto as far as I could get it. |
 This was the oddest caterpiller I’ve seen. It appears to have a fake head. The one on the right was the “real head.” |
 Then I walked down to the creek and found hundreds of butterflies drinking! |
