Fishing and Photography

Richard and I went fishing today. I did much better with my camera than I did with my fishing pole. We’d have got pretty hungry if we had to make a meal on the two scrawny fish I caught! Richard saved the day with his four (limit) big fish! After fishing, we took a long walk from the spring down stream almost a mile and then back up again taking photos and visiting.

Here’s some of the crafty critters hiding near the far bank from the fishermen!

Looking upstream you can see the spring at the very far distant end.

Here’s looking upstream from the dam about to where I took the photo to the left.

Here’s a photo of the “lunkers” in one of the breeding pools. Richard said they set out a small number of these every day for some lucky person to catch!

This bug was really neat-o!

Here’s one of those extra brave souls who fishes on the dam. He caught two fish in the time it took us to walk by him!

We were pretty far from this fisherman and could see he had on a BIG fish by the way his pole was bending. I zoomed my 12 power zoom up and got this good photo of him and his buddy checking out the big fish!

Here we are getting closer to the spring on the walk back.

And this is the spring which pumps out about 100,000,000 gallons of water each day in the middle of this hole. Richard said the guy 3rd over from the left would just disappear if he took about 3-4 steps into the dark blue! Check out all the fish!

Here’s a panorama of the spring taken looking downstream.
