We started out from near Washington, PA this morning and made it back home about 9 pm! The first few hours of the drive was through some pretty heavy snow, but it was just starting so the roads were pretty clear. Then, farther into Ohio it cleared off and was beautiful the rest of the drive.
Jessica had said the trees looked like a tornado had went through, and I had hoped she had exaggerated. We found she had not. We couldn’t get the car all the way to the house due to huge piles of limbs. The good news, none of the buildings have been damaged, just trees and fences. Richard said we will need to do some clearing to get to the wood pile as it’s covered with limbs.
And, there’s a pretty big snow-storm set to come in about noon tomorrow, not giving us lots of time to clear limbs until that hits.
I’m worried about the house in town since it’s got several trees around it. The kids say nothings hurt the house yet, but I found out that my insurance doesn’t cover for ice damage! Of course! So, I’m crossing my fingers and toes that nothing DOES fall on the house.
I’ll try and take photos tomorrow and post them, if we don’t loose our electricity that is. I guess we are in the minority to be able to have electricity now!
So, more photos later.
