Below are my fair entries for the 2007 Ozark Empire Fair. This year I paid Wal-Mart to print them, and they did a great job! They even printed the ones I had digitally manipulated with text and color stuff.

 This photo is from one of the thistle on Richard’s neighbor’s property. I was walking to the mailbox one morning and saw how it had hooked itself (naturally) around the barb wire fence and thought it might be photogenic. I even planned the shot by putting the thistle in the lower right to give room for the text in the upper left.  Last fall I made a similar collage to give to the people we stayed with in California as “thank you” gifts. That gave me the idea to make this one all from photos I took in the last 2 years (to make it eligible for the fair).  I had taken movie and still shots of Richard helping a friend gather and sort, and I didn’t have a position to help with the actual working of the calves.
