What a great weekend! First, we had Garland this weekend! We all went to Springfield to eat Indian food at our favorite restaurant. What an excellent treat! Then we saw the movie “Bucket List.” I’d highly recommend it to anyone. Though, if you are under the age of 50, be prepared to be the youngest person there . . . we were! Oh, and bring a hankie. Hey, I’m not giving anything away, they are old guys making a list of things to do before they die . . . think about it!
Then, on Sunday Richard outdid himself at the smoker! He made the BEST pork ribs and brisket ever!! What a gastronomic treat! We drove Garland to Clinton to drive back to his home, and we picked up Jennifer and Autumn (her dog) on the way back through Bolivar to come out and enjoy our little Super Bowl party!
None of us really had a favorite or even a team we did NOT want to win, so we just rooted for the underdog, the Giants and also wished just for a great game! We got both our wishes! What a good game. And, of course, there was more good food for the grazing during the game. I might have to not eat anything for a day or two to just let my poor stomach rest!
