Richard and I were enjoying our morning coffee when I saw the two fawns above frolicking in the front yard! I took the photos above out the closed front door, which, along with the early morning light lead to the low quality.
Then we looked west and saw their mama coming toward the yard to have a talk with them, I guess, about playing in people’s yards!
No, the upper right photo isn’t incest! Animals use mounting behavior as signs of dominance. One was saying to the other, “I can beat you!” In that photo you can see the last remnants of their spots on their rumps. |
