Sunrise Video

I always check out the “sunrise photography potential” each morning. This morning looked like a good one! I gathered all my equipment and headed out to see what I could photo. Pretty early on I thought I’d set the tripod/camera and take a photo exactly every minute in the exactly the same position. This worked out great until the sun started coming up, and I realized I couldn’t have picked a WORSE position! The sun rose exactly behind the large limb of the tree, so I missed those great “big orange ball” shots as the sun came up through the background trees. Oh well, I wasn’t about to move it at that point! I’ll try and set up better next time. Another interesting thing was how the wind subsided through the hour I shot. The clouds are moving fast in the early shots, and hardly moving at all in the last shots! Remember, all shots are exactly a minute apart.

My friend Susan suggested I shorten the video and add music. So, here’s my try at that.
