Our flight out from Kansas City was delayed, meaning we missed our connection in Minneapolis for Saskatoon. Here’s the sunrise over the wing from Kansas City to Minneapolis. |
 We had almost 12 hours to spend in the Minneapolis airport, so we decided to take the train to the nearby Mall of America. Here’s the amusement park area behind us. |
 We had three things on our shopping list and managed to find two of them. We found a nice backpack for me to carry my laptop on the planes and little gifts for the grandkids, but weren’t able to find Birkinstock shoes for me. |
| As a result of NWA delaying our flights, we got exit row seats from KC to Minneapolis, and we got first class seats from Minneapolis to Saskatoon! I’ve never flown first class before! What a treat!!! Here’s Richard enjoying the ride! |  |
