Thunderheads!

After we finished putting on a great school in Monticello, AR, we headed west to try and get as far away from the Arkansas tornadoes as we could before dark. We didn’t make it all the way past them, but hope we can make it through the night at the Hope, AR Super 8 without getting blown away!

It was raining really hard, but the sun was shining not far away! I took this photo through the front windshield between wiper passes.

I took this photo through Richard’s window while he was driving.

This photo above is a close-up of the top of the cloud on the left. Notice the little wisps at the top?

It stopped raining on us, but we saw lots of BIG thunderheads all around us as tornadoes passed to either side of us!

We stopped to get food from the ice chest in the trunk and shot some quick photos.

This huge thunderhead to the north was right before we got to Hope, AR where we hotelled up just before a big thunderstorm hit!
